Excel, VBA, Web Services Project for forecasting purposes:
Developed & implemented an Excel AddIn to import 3 years of actual data, via web services, from an Oracle OLAP database for selected entities. Analysts forecast for 5 years using formulas embedded in the templates we created. Calculated forecasts are written back to database through web services. AddIn functionality allows users to login, logout, retrieve missing mnemonics, upload forecasted data. Template contains formulas to supply forecast calculations and data import fuctionality. Agile scrums and Version One software to monitor stories and tasks.

Created custom database and tables to track broker commissions and report it monthly.

Converted complex financial Excel reports from Essbase source cubes to pull from SAP datasets. Aggregate ad-hoc WEBI queries of metric data from SAP into Excel. Implement restructure of data on 5 historical Essbase cubes for migration to SAP. Parallel environment, replicating PROD environment on the DEV server. Tested all scripts in standalone mode to ensure no reference to PROD is retained. Upgrade all VBA scripts to process with restructured SAP data. Wrote scripts to automate the transformation of current data to the new format. Data restructuring performed on the DEV environment and jobs monitored for kick-outs. Loaded cubes with restructured data. All activities tested and validated against PROD. Excel reports (via data retrievals from the cubes) modified to take into account the restructured data.
